In the 11:00 hour, join Laura Hansen, author and accomplished Toastmaster, having earned her Advanced Communicator Bronze and Advanced Leader Bronze just last year, as she shares how to overcome…. "YIKES!!! How do I read my work in public, of all places?!! And what do I do when the room is different every time??!!” Laura is an amazing speaker who has shared her adventures battling cancer, her corresponding, ongoing lymphedema, her adventures as a teacher and, writing as Rebecca Merkl, navigating the ups and downs of growing up in Catholic and public school in the Midwest in the 1970s and 1980s. In the 11:00 hour, join Cami Ostman, for Changing Your Relationship with Your Inner Critic. If SELF doubt has reared its ugly head and whispered (or shouted) negative messages into the quiet of your writing time, Cami will teach you how to push back and show you why you should. Learn to move through your inner barriers so you can get your writing done by finding out what your inner critic is up to, what it needs in order to settle down, and how you can change your relationship with it.

Cami is the author of  Second Wind: One Woman’s Midlife Quest to Run Seven Marathons on Seven Continents, co-editor of Beyond Belief: The Secret Lives of Women in Extreme Religions, a contributor to Adventures Northwest  and to her own blog,  7marathons7continents.com.  Having spent fifteen years as a psychotherapist, and now serving as a writing coach and editor, Cami specializes in helping authors “figure out what they really have to say.” She is currently working on a novel and on her second quest memoir.
