Writing Contests: Entering, Winning and the Next Big Thing

Join me Thursday mornings at the Edmonds Library from 10 am to noon for a free writing group sponsored by EPIC Group Writers. In the first hour, we support each other by free writing and sharing our writing and experiences.

In the 11:00 hour, join Susan Frederick to get the inside scoop on how entering a contest makes you a better writer and winning a contest can lead to great things. You’ll learn about contests you can enter now, how to get started and suggestions for dealing with the very normal discouragement that comes with inevitable rejections. Susan is the first place poetry winner of EPIC’s 2017 Writing Contest, the winner of a 2nd Place award in Poetry at the 2017 WOTS, and the author of a short story recently published by local publisher Homeostasis Press.

Designed for writers of all levels. Drop-ins are welcome!
